So you have decided to start dancing salsa. LA style (or dancing ‘On 1’) is most likely the style that you have started your salsa journey with. This style of salsa is taught most broadly and probably the most popular form of salsa dancing in the world. In one of your first salsa classes the teacher probably mentions the other styles. But considering there is already a lot that you have to learn (and process) when you start dancing, you’ll probably not pay much attention to the other styles mentioned.
